About Us

Ida Public Schools has a current enrollment of approximately 1,400 students. The school is located in Southeast Monroe County, a rural community of mostly family farms and the small village of Ida. Ida Public schools district consist of approximately 1,500 households of which 75% are married couples. The median family income was listed at approximately $60,000 in 2,000 with less than 3% below poverty. As in the case with many public schools in Michigan, Ida high school has experienced declining enrollment over the past 3 to 5 years. In addition, the number of students being served by a free and reduced lunch program has grown slightly in the past three years.
