Directions for
PowerPoint Slide Show

Goal: To create a Slide Show with 10 slides about any 1 of the following topic ideas: Favorite Foods, Sports, Holidays, Animals, or other. (Do not Print - This will be graded on your computer.)

Directions:

  1. Click on the Home Tab: touch New Slide to add 10 slides
  2. Using the Layout Button you can format each slide to be Blank
  3. Your first slide should contain a Word Art Title for the actual title of the slideshow and your name, and a graphic
  4. Each of your 9 blank slides that make up the rest of your slideshow will need the following:
    1. A Word Art Title appropriate for the topic of the slide
    2. A text box with at least 3 sentences that tell about the topic (Click on the Insert Tab: Text Box and drag an area to hold your text)
    3. A graphic (Click on the Insert Tab: Clip Art and search for an appropriate graphic - certain graphics may only be found online through other search methods - ask for persmission/help in these instances)
  5. Click on the Design Tab and use the pull down menu under Background Styles and select Format Background to add colorful backgrounds to your slides
  6. Format all of your text boxes in the following way:
    1. Center the writing
    2. Select a professional and readable font that compliments your background colors and graphic(s)
    3. Make your font size 18 or larger
