Directions for
Inserting ClipArt within a Microsoft Word Document

Goal: To insert pictures to match specific words with different fonts.
  1. Go to Microsoft Word
  2. Click on Page Layout: Orientation: Landscape
  3. Type your name at the top of the paper in colors - a different color for each letter
  4. Type in the following words - Red, Blue, Green, Yellow
  5. Tab 5 times between each word and then touch return 8 times.
  6. Now, type in the following words - Pink, Purple, Black Brown
  7. Again, Tab 5 times between each word
  8. Highlight all of the words, and change the font size to 14
  9. Change the font colors to match the word
  10. Change the font for each word - 8 different fonts.  The font must be readable!
  11. Find clipart that matches each color (go to Insert: ClipArt; then search clipart for the color and you will have graphics of that color to choose from)
  12. Right-click on your clipart and pull down to Text Wrapping: In Front of Text; then re-size your image and place it below the corresponding color
  13. Before you are ready to print, change the font size of your name to at least 20
