Book Voki
Directions for creating a simple book share review, publishing it on Microsoft Word, and creating a book Voki

Goal: Write a simple book review in a Microsoft Word document, copy and paste the review to a web source in order to also create a speaking online Voki.

Directions:

  1. Create and SAVE a Microsoft Word document that includes the following:
    1. Title - Book Share (Insert: Word Art to make a 'cool title')
    2. I really like the book . . .
    3. It is written by . . .
    4. My favorite part is when . . . .
    5. I think you should read this book because . . .
    6. You can find this book. . .
    7. A picture of the book copied and pasted from the internet
    8. A 2nd picture that compliments what your book is about.
  2. Once your book share document is complete, you will create a Voki to 'read' your review.
  3. Go to Voki
    1. Customize a character
    2. Give it a voice by clicking on the 'key'
    3. Copy and paste your poem into the text box - then select your voice character
    4. Select a background and player color
    5. Use the pull down menu to selct Standard Voki link - copy the URL provided
    6. Go to the IMS class blog site (username = idamslab, password = bluestreak)
    7. Paste your embedded code here along with your name and last initial
