A Diamante is a diamond shaped poem that tells about opposites.
The poem will change from one theme to its opposite. Choose any
two careers, (one from each of two different career clusters).
Examples of different occupations include: doctor - lawyer, actor -
policeman, judge - teacher, dentist - accountant, etc. . .
- Create three Diamante poems.
- Use Font - New York, and size 14.
- Use the centering button for your entire assignment.
- Capitalize only the first word in each line.
- Type lines 1 and 7 in ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.
- Your Diamante should contain 9 commas. . .count them!
Lines 1 and 7: name the opposites.
Lines 2 and 6: each give two adjectives describing the
opposite nearest it.
Lines 3 and 5: give three participles ("ing" words) describing
the nearest opposite.
Line 4: is in the middle. It changes from the first idea to
the opposite by giving two nouns for each.
