Autobiography


This is a goal setting exercise. Write your own Autobiography pretending that you are 20 years older than your present age. Be realistic. You should be able to accomplish everything that you write in your autobiography.

Your autobiography will be a 200+ word essay, telling about the experiences that you had while you were growing up that helped you decide what you wanted to do with your life. Your line spacing should be set to 1.5 or 2.0 lines between text. Use a readable font that allows you to fit all of your text on one page of paper.



Begin the day you entered the ninth grade. . .and include the following:

  • Where did you go to high school?
  • What did you do in high school (classes, work, sports, extra activities, etc.)?
  • What did you do after high school (college, military, jobs)?
  • What are you doing now?
  • Where do you live?
  • Tell about your family and typical daily activities.
  • Are there any major events that have happened in your life?
  • Tell about some difficult challenges that you overcame to become successful.
