Goal:
To
create a Newspaper in a Word Processing
document with four articles (70 words in
length) and four different pictures to go
with the articles. You may decide the
topics of your articles
|

5. Click on the
Toolbox on the bottom of the page.
|
|
1. Go to Format:
Insert Header, and type the name of your Newspaper
and Your Name
|
6. Touch your Arrow
Tool
Go to File: Show Clippings, and search for the
graphic you'd like to drag and drop into your
Newspaper (YOU MUST CLICK ON THE ARROW TOOL BEFORE
INSERTING THE PICTURE!)

2. Click in the area
below the Header, Choose 2 columns (located above
the "5 inch mark" on the ruler), now you are ready
to begin typing your articles
|

7. Make sure
your graphic is selected (It will show
four black boxes in the four
corners)
|
|
|
|
3. Use the Centering
Feature (located above the "1 inch mark" on the
ruler) to center all Titles of your articles (*Note
- go back to Left Alignment after you center your
title)

8.
Go to Options: Text Wrap: Regular: O.K.
(this will allow you to put your graphic
in with your writing without covering what
you've typed)

4. While typing your
articles remember the following:
- Indent each paragraph 5
spaces
- Begin sentences with
CAPITAL Letters
- Use correct ending
punctuation
- For each article, insert
a graphic object

9. Go to Edit, Writing
Tools, and Check Document Spelling
10. Before you print,
Proofread your articles to make sure that your
sentences make sense!
