Project 7
Directions for
Spreadsheet and Graphs

Goal: To create a Spreadsheet and then use the data to create three Traditional Graphs (Bar, Line, and Pie).

Directions:
1. Log onto AppleWorks: Word Processing

2. Go to Windows: Show Tools OR click on the little red toolbox to get your tools out.

3. Select the Spreadsheet tool (it has the numbers "1, 8, and 3" on it) and drag a spreadsheet like the one shown to the right (yours should actually show 'ABC' across the top and go down to the number '9' on the side)

4. Type the information into the spreadsheet that we gathered in class

5. Using your Spreadsheet Tool, highlight your entire spreadsheet

6. Go to Options: Make Chart, select the type of chart you'd like (Bar, Line, and Pie are required)

7. Now, you must label the X, and Y axis of your graph. Double click on the axis line that you wish to label - Then double click on the other axis line that needs a label (the pie chart only requires a title)

**Capitalize the first word of your labels

You will end up with 3 different graphs!!
