Seventh Grade Computer Rotation Final Exam:
Create a Newspaper using Appleworks

(*Note, if you need more space on your newspaper, go to Format, Document, and make all margins .5)

1. Insert a Header (under format)
Type your name in the space for the header.

Choose Font - New York
Size - 36 Point
Style - Shadow

7. In the top of the second column, create a pie chart using the following data:

Swimming
Biking
Jogging
Golf
Riding
PlayStation
Skiing
Volleyball
Reading
Watching T.V.

2. Create 2 Columns using the columns control button (above the five on the ruler)

8. You will get your data for the pie chart by rating how much you like each of these activities - 1 through 10.
(10 = highest, 1 = lowest)

Each must have a different number.

(You can substitute any activity for something else you like.)

3. In the first column, type these words: Seventh Grade Memories

4. Write about five (5) memorable events that happened to you this year.

Size - 10 Point
Style - Plain Text

10. At the bottom of the second column, type these words:

5. Use the word count feature and use no less than 15 words for each event.

11. Use bullets from the paragraph styles menu almost above the 1 on the ruler) to make a list of what you learned in this computer class.

Size - 10 Point

6. Insert a small picture that relates to each event directly below each event.
(You can use any available graphics)

12. Make your list as long as possible (at least 5 ideas) with a bullet in front of each item listed. (Press the Option Key and type 8 for a bullet)
